It’s weird to follow food truck crush on IG right?
I went to this event in my (small) city and there was a really cute dude working. Idk it felt like he also thought I was attractive? Lots of eye contact followed by shyly looking away on both sides.
I kinda wanted to ask for his number but I’ve never approached someone in public tbh, and given that I’m pretty awkward, I didn’t want the first time to be yelling up into a food truck over the sound of a generator in front of a bunch of people.
Anyway bc I’m crazy like Tootie from Fairly Odd Parents, I looked up the food truck on IG later and looked through their pics until I found his IG (private). I have not followed him bc I am aware of how “the barista asked my name so she must be in love with me” this all is.
Few days ago I was taking the train to visit my family, running late, and as I come rushing into the station who do I see waiting for a train but Food Truck Guy? Another eye contact+shy look away moment before my train pulls up and I have to leave. I was hoping we’d be going the same way but he did not board.
Although my city is small and we do have some IG mutuals, there’s not really enough social crossover to guarantee I’ll see him again organically.
It would definitely be weird to follow his IG right? Like, I know that, how would I even explain how I found him without (accurately) sounding like a stalker.
How weird is it to go to an event where the truck will be in the hope of talking to him? Like he’s guaranteed to be there, but I don’t want to harass someone at work
Should I just be thankful for the thrill and let this crush go?
