Our daughter is 18 months old. My sister watches her while we both work and she sent me a video of our daughter falling asleep while eating. It was a super cute/funny clip and I posted about 10 seconds of it to my Instagram story. I have a private profile and I use Facebook/Instagram regularly and I just wanted to share part of the clip for my friends and family to get a laugh and see how much our daughter has grown. We recently moved to a different state 8 months ago and idk I just don’t think it’s that big of a deal and our daughter has grown so much and I rarely see my friends anymore.
My boyfriend is staunchly against anything of/about our daughter on social media. He says predators can use AI and what not to take images and make weird stuff, etc, and I’m trying to respect his wishes. I have zero pictures of our daughter on any profile, her name/birthday and no other information has ever been shared. I never posted a picture of being pregnant, never posted pictures of my baby shower, never posted any kind of announcement photo etc and I just wanted to once put a few seconds of our daughter on to my Instagram story for a “glimpse” into my real life that is not at all reflected on my page since I’m not allowed to post my daughter at all and she’s my whole world. I made sure the video was of her with her eyes closed and I wrote as a caption “I love her so much” on my story. And I made sure to post it as a story so that it would only be visible for 24 hours. I got lots of “hearts” and messages in return from my close friends and a couple of aunts and my grandma saying “omg she’s so cute!” “So funny” etc and that was it. Even my boyfriend’s parents put hearts and sent sweet messages about how much they love seeing their granddaughter.
Idk I got chewed out by my bf about disrespecting him, putting our daughter into harm’s way, etc and I feel like it’s ridiculous but I don’t know if me doing that is like actually that wrong? AITAH?
