I’ve been troubleshooting this pc for about two months now and I’m frustrated beyond believe. My parts list includes a EVGA 850 G+ psu, evga GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, evga k classified 170 motherboard, Ripjaws DDR4 memory sticks, Intel I7 6700k CPU, and a 1 TB WD 2.5 in hard drive, case is Montech. I got a lot of these parts for free, so that’s why they are from 2016.
Currently we have it that the pc will turn on and spin the fans for a few seconds, turn off and then turn on and spin the fans for a few seconds. Red and yellow light are both on. If anyone wants a video of it and wants to add me on discord I will send it to you.
Things we have tried:
- Replaced the cpu
- Replaced motherboard with a known working one
- Replaced the psu with a known working one
- Reseated Ram in 1&3 and 2&4 slots
- Reseated CPU
- Taken wires out and put them back in
I’m about at my wits end with this thing, and am just wondering if anyone has any advice, or if I am totally cooked chat.
