Ladies how much do you consume (read, watch, or listen too) that you disagree with? And do you or can you do so with an open mind?

I myself (36m) find I enjoy reading about ideologies that I disagree more than ones I agree with. For me it's about finding common ground or trying to understand a way of thinking that's different from mine

Let's say he/she loves to read and doesn't care what they read. If you were going somewhere that sells/rents books and your partner asked you to pick up one up for them (any book) would you? And if so what kind?

Reason for the question: my grandfather was a 5th grade drop out who loved to read (like 300-600 pages a day) but very really picked his own books grandma always did ( she would just grab random books off the shelf with a library/store).
