1st offense Maryland

I’ve already posted in here once but now there’s been some progression and I want to see if anyone else has had this happen.

Less than a month ago I received my DUI. Temporary license was given for 45 days (paper), had my interlock installed on the recommendation of my attorney. I go to get a license with the interlock code on it. WELL my license was suspended as of today because the arresting officer filed a complaint with the MVA that I had a “medical condition”, the fun fact is, I don’t have any medical conditions.

Now I am having to go to my primary care and have them fill out paperwork along with seeking out a substance abuse counselor to confirm or not that I have a substance abuse problem.

This is my 1st EVER traffic offense, not even a speeding ticket and I feel like the book is being thrown at me. No one was injured, no property damaged, I was pulled over while STOPPED at a red light for expired stickers(MVA did send them until 2 days after I was pulled over and I didn’t receive them until 11 days from then)

Hi all,

I received my first offense a couple weeks ago. I was pulled over after being at a red light and turning on green, my tags were "expired"... in reality I was just waiting on my stickers from the MVA after several duplicate requests, had a printed version of my updated registration on hand and explained to the officer the situation. Cop came back and asked me to exit my car due to smelling alcohol. Refused FST, blew at the station .239(I truly don't believe this number to be true.). I do take accountability that I was drinking although I know what and how much I drank and I just can't comprehend I could blow so high and not feel remotely drunk for my 9 hour jail stay in which I was awake the entire time because I was too afraid to sleep(I've never been pulled over nor been in trouble so this was a scary experience)

I have completed MADD and my Interlock is due to be installed tomorrow as well. I have an attorney and he gave me a group to reach out to for meetings but the current meetings don't seem to really align for me due to my schedule.

Can I do any classes or should I stick with the program my attorney had me contact and just figure out how to make it work?

I'm also terrified of the outcome of this especially with my BAC being so high. Words of encouragement are greatly appreciated.
