I spent the day & the evening in this charming little Texas town.
Here's a small share, after being in Lubbock for 24 hours. (first time here)
"Lubbock knows the rest of Texas looks down on it, and it does not much care. Dallas can keep its glass towers and oilmen who never worked a derrick. Austin can keep its vegan food trucks and condescending liberals who transplanted from LA. Out here, people clock in for shift work, evening classes, and Friday night lights. Then they go home tired and mostly content. Buddy is not a roadside memorial. He is proof that something loud and real came out of this wind and dust and could do it again, loud enough to change the world."
