Hi all,

My family wanted to visit me for my Graduation on the 22nd of June in Berlin and had applied for a friends and family visit visa. They had applied for visiting from 18th of June - 7th of July, which might also be perceived as too long. We'd also be open to adjusting these dates. They got rejections on the grounds:

Justification for purpose and conditions of intended stay not provided
Not provided sufficient means of subsistence during intended stay, return to country

They have already visited Europe twice in the past two years, including in 2023 and 2024. They are both doctors in Delhi.

I've told them to re-apply with new documents. Some issues might have been:

I had not sent an official invitation letter from my university, but have attached one now.
My residence permit has expired, but I have applied for a new one (and attached proof of application - had already attached before, but translated + Proof of email inviting me to submit biometrics).
Their bank accounts were under ~10 lakh, but FD attached was 1cr+ so don't understand why this happened
Flight tickets are dummies, but we always use this
I had provided proof of my anmeldung for apartment, and said they'll stay with me. But maybe I should provide hotel proof as I live in a student dormitory?

Any other advice, please let me know. I would really appreciate it
