Title sums it up. It's been a year since her rework and what was at one point one of the least played champions is now one of the most banned even beating Mel at the time of this post.
Naafiri is set to get a direct nerf this patch, alongside a few indirect nerfs. But frankly it seems universally agreed her direct nerfs are a placebo and the indirect nerfs in my opinion aren't going to reign her in because they are affecting new items/runes she was using and she can just go back to her old stuff (Electrocute/Ionian Boots) if the nerfs feel too bad.
If her identity is still meant to be the "easy to pick up and play assassin" Riot has succeeded in that. But I feel they messed up tangling the wires between "easy to play" and "easy to be rewarded".
The next part is going to be my bias as an Emerald scrub.
I think the champ is just too versatile, in the hands of a skilled player unless you pick Garen mid you are not shutting her down. Assuming she goes mid because she's usually a jungler anyways since she can exert maximum pressure there.
Her Q gives her the best neutral of any Assassin, her dogs casually block skillshots with 0 forethought, her W and E give her sickeningly good mobility, and her R is literally just a point and click that can be recasted.
Personally I feel Riot needs to tone her down significantly. A trade off to how easy she is to play should be a lower power ceiling. That's why I feel this rework failed, they gave people an "introduction to assassins" champion that just outclasses the other assassins.
Agree or disagree? I'm interested to know what your thoughts are.
