App Name: DirectServe
Category: File Sharing / Media Streaming / Utilities
What it does:
DirectServe lets you access your Android phone from any device using a browser on the same WiFi or hotspot. No app is required on the receiving device.
Setup:
Open DirectServe on your phone
Start a sharing session
Connect another device to the same WiFi or hotspot
Open the link or scan the QR code shown on your phone
Access your files and media from the browser
Main features:
• Share files from phone to iPhone, PC, laptop, TV, etc.
• Receive files back to the phone (two-way transfer)
• Stream videos and music directly in the browser
• DLNA / UPnP support for Smart TVs, VLC, Kodi
• Screen mirroring through browser
• Quick text and link sharing between devices
Use case:
I mainly use it to move files between devices and quickly stream videos to a TV or laptop without setting up anything or installing apps everywhere.
Why I built it:
I wanted a simple local-only solution that works across devices without relying on cloud upload, cables, or installing apps on every device.
Other details:
• Works over WiFi or hotspot
• No cloud upload (everything stays local)
• No account required
• Optional PIN protection for sessions
• Supports multiple languages
• Free to use and no ads

I’ve been building this on the side for a while and finally got it live on Play Store.
It’s a local sharing tool — you open a link or scan a QR and access your phone from any browser on the same WiFi or hotspot. No app needed on the other device.
It started pretty simple, but I kept adding things as I used it:
- send files between phone, laptop, iPhone, etc.
- receive files back to the phone
- stream videos directly in the browser
- DLNA support for TVs / VLC
- basic screen mirroring
- quick text sharing between devices
It kind of turns your phone into a local media center you can access from anything nearby.
Everything stays local, nothing goes through cloud.
Still polishing a few things (especially playback compatibility and some UI cleanup), but it’s usable now.

Happy to hear what feels confusing or unnecessary.
