I’m somewhat freaking out right now and my Doctors office doesn’t have any after hours options (I called) so I’m turning to Reddit.

I have my first colonoscopy at 11 am tomorrow. I was instructed to take 3 dulcolax and 32 oz of miralax/gatorade solution. I had one very big, watery stool but nothing after that. I then realized 3 hours later I miscalculated and 24 oz of the prep when I was SURE I took 32. I took the last 8 anyway when I noticed and nothing has happened.

My conundrum is, do I take the second half as listed at 5 am and risk it having the impact that the first half might have had I taken 32 oz? Or reschedule all together? I would have to leave my house around 930. I’m leaning towards doing the second half of the prep around 4 am and praying it all comes out or at least enough does by the time I have to get in the car but I worry I won’t be done by then.

The office doesn’t open until 9 so I will need to have made the call by then.

UPDATE: I took the second dose as scheduled! I really went hardcore on the diet 3 days before, so I genuinely just didn’t have much to come out. I did the second dose as scheduled and was clear by the time I left. The mental battle was far worse than the physical. All in all I had less than 10 trips total to the bathroom and the colonoscopy went great! I was clean as a whistle.
