My really odd job search
So I’m 22 years old, I’ve never had a job in my life.
I would not call myself your average person, I’m way too introverted, stay at home type of person for nearly all my life. I also managed to do university from home
I started my job search in March where to my surprise I was getting quite a few interviews. Bearing in mind these were my first ever interviews so I almost certainly went in knowing I’d flop.
And thats exactly what happened, for 3 roles I applied to I was rejected and I had two offers pending of which I rejected one as it was an international remote role (highly specific to what I do) but it was contract based (wasnt sure if I was being scammed) and another role that didn’t require any experience.
In April when looking for roles, it was practically dead. I was seeing the same roles posted in march and sometimes barely anything new. I was looking daily. So April was just a dead month.
It’s now nearing the middle of May and it’s still the same? Am I missing something here? There are barely any new jobs being posted, it’s usually the same repeat roles I’m seeing.
I’ve broadened my job search but that hasn’t really helped much.
