Am I good? (Sextortion)
So I recently set up a Microsoft Outlook email maybe 4-5 days ago. Got an email sent to me today at 5:42pm as a draft from myself (hacker got into the email) and laid out this whole list of “I’ve been using a Trojan thing to get screenshots and videos of you pleasuring yourself and whatnot. If you don’t pay me $700 in 3 hours I will send to all you closest friends and family.”
Naturally I’ve been having panic attacks since then. But I then realized how general the message was (even though the hacker did get into my email). Saying things about hacking my webcam and keyboard, accessing my computer. I don’t use a computer I only use my phone. Then he said after a few weeks of getting into my account he set all that up but I’ve only had the email for 4-5 days. I changed all my passwords and 2fa the email and he was still able to access it so I deleted the email account and removed the app off my phone. My question is, what is the likelihood of someone actually getting into my iPhone 15 and being able to see everything I type and what my camera shows? I never received any notifications from anything else for attempted logins just the outlook email. He must have sent it another 40-80 times via my own drafts. Thanks in advance I’m still freaking out.
