Green discharge after tinidazole & flucanzole?
Hiii hoping to see if anyone else has had this issue! I went into my GYN last week for a routine pap, where she found a “little bit of yeast” and then tested positive for yeast & BV. I had no symptoms that I noticed whatsoever, never had BV before but did know that it was common with IUDs (i have kyleena). I’m in a monogamous relationship and have been for 7+ years, and nothing else came up negative on my other tests at GYN. Again I really had no symptoms at all and was really surprised when she noticed the yeast/BV came back positive, but I also have not been the best recently about changing out of sweaty workout clothes ASAP because of my schedule and my partner and I rely solely on the IUD for contraception.
I took a two day course of Tinidazole (4 500mg tablets a day), and then the day (Wed) after I finished took the flucanzole pill.
It’s now Friday and I just noticed I had green (somewhat clumpy?) discharge when I wiped. Again, I haven’t had any other symptoms of BV or YI pre, during, or post medication until I guess now? Is this kind of discharge normal? I take a daily pre/probiotic and have been prioritizing Greek yogurt to help since I know antibiotics can kind of mess things up down there.
TLDR; should I wait a few days to see if the discharge continues/any additional concerns come up before consulting my GYN? Has anyone else experienced this? Could it just be the medication pushing out old discharge/yeast?
