Was fortunate enough to pass my first try. The test is super similar to the 7 in away that it makes you think you’re failing the entire exam. You have to keep your mental strong. They give answers that doesn’t even make sense to the question but you have to pick the best one in certain cases. Then they’ll just toss simple questions.

I had a lot of questions on advertisements for BD’s and IA’s. ADV updating time frame (90 days end of firms fiscal year) having custody and discretion, best performance measure for a mutual fund. The total return questions all dealt with numbers that had a loss which i was pretty interested. Bought at 100 got a dividend of 5 but the stock went down to 80 type of a question. They also asked about money laundering tactics like placement and integration. Asked about having custody of funds and when do they have to be returned before considered having custody. I used Kaplan, TestGeek’s Series 66 online class and a 3 Day Kaplan class with Dean. I watched a couple of Ken’s brutal exams too.

One question that stumped me was what is the term to describe an investment with a decreasing present value you.

The answers choices were “layering, falling, amortization” it kind of didn’t make sense.

I also 4 questions about a sole proprietorship.

Best way to determine a value stock

Etc

If you have any questions about anything else let me know and I’ll do my best to help. Don’t give up !! You got this.
