Female - 28y - diabetic (type 1)

Help. I feel so upset about my teeth. I’ve reached a point where I lie and think about them at least five times a day and end up getting sad.

I had a severe overbite as a child, and my teeth were always the ones that took the hit whenever I fell. My baby teeth went through a lot - from falls where they hit the floor first, to hitting them against a sink. I even once sat down on a chair that wasn’t there and slammed my front teeth into the edge of a table, knocking one of them out.

I was recently told during a dental visit with a new dentist - where I asked about teeth whitening - that one of my front teeth is “dead.” No other dentist has ever told me that before.

Are there any cheaper alternatives to professional teeth whitening that could help me? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, I’m from Scandinavia, so please bear with my English.
