Alright, so i signed up for beginner level Muay Thai, i've been going a couple of times now. The good news is it's really fun. It's really a lightning speed workout, and that's nice
But I'm considering if its perhaps too fast for me and I'm just reinforcing bad technique into my muscle memory. There's so much combinations, footwork, distance, constantly switching from one practice to another.
My adhd brain is overloaded only by trying to remember which order and what way I'm supposed to turn the boxing mitts, let alone stance, teqchnique, etc.
We're 20 people or so, and whenver the coach comes by me, usually one or two times during the session, he points out 8 things I'm doing wrong, but i just keep repeating them. As soon as i consider one thing i forget another. And the speed and tempo just makes the whole thing even harder.
Part of me really just want to repeat one thing for the whole hour, until i know I am doing it decently. But that's not the way it goes.
I was thinking if there's ways to practice from home, but i live in a one room apartment and there's really not enough space for a punching bag. I don't afford personal training. Is there some way i can get the basics down correctly? Or am I just overthinking the whole thing?
