Sorry for the vague title,
I'm currently 33 , got my own house, car and a job ( which has a 1 year education/ apprenticeship attached to it) . I worked the same job for 11 years which is basically my only real job , i did warehouse work and eventually worked my way up to teamlead / dispatch, but unfortunately that company went bankrupt last year. Right now I scored a job which i thought was my dream job , train driver , now half way through i still love it but I miss the 9-5 grind , and I miss the easy living. I dislike the exams and testing my knowledge part. but I know it's crucial to securing the job.
Now I have a lot of responsability and I take my work home with me . also I still need to complete at least 6 more months of training to be completely qualified. I wonder if after 1 year I still have these feelings , or if I feel comfortable in solo driving trains , just like any other 9-5.
Last couple of weeks I caught myself looking at 9-5 jobs in a logistics environment.
I'm stuck between those 2 choices , how should i make a good decision or how would you handle this situation ?
