Charged $2,000 During Free Trial by Accident, No Human Support Yet
I enrolled in a free 7-day trial and, while checking the credit consumption during the trial, a modal appeared. I did not intend to upgrade, but I accidentally confirmed it. Immediately after that, I was charged.
The issue is that I had already been charged USD 400 when starting the trial, and then the upgrade triggered another USD 1,400 charge. In total, I was charged USD 2,000 just for trying Manus.
I initially spoke with a bot that confirmed my refund had been approved. However, I never received any confirmation email, which made me concerned. On two later attempts, the chatbot told me there was no active refund request, but that I could confirm one and it would proceed. I was also told that someone from the team would take over the case, but that has still not happened.
At this point, I may end up paying a completely unreasonable USD 2,000 annual subscription that I never intended to purchase. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and feels abusive. In Brazil, consumer protection laws exist specifically to prevent this kind of charging flow and accidental subscription escalation.
I have been unable to get proper support, so I am posting here as a last resort because this seems to be one of the few places where actual humans respond.
I have screenshots and logs documenting everything that happened. My trial period has not even ended yet, and I am asking for a proper resolution and immediate human support regarding these charges.
