a patient encounter i just had,

patient: i paid cash for my medicine so i don’t have a prescription

me: you have a prescription, but you paid cash because your insurance won’t cover it without a prior authorization

patient: well how much would it be if my insurance paid for it

me: 👁️👄👁️ , you need a prior authorization (goes through speech on what it is)

patient: i saw him do that he did it right in front of me

this where i had enough and got my pharmacist involved which then the patient said, “no she’s saying i don’t have a prescription for it but i picked it up”
