I (25F) let a guy, “John” (28M), stay with me on and off. We’re not in a relationship, but I’ve tried to help him out by letting him stay at my place.
The problem is there have been repeated incidents involving different women that keep turning into chaos at my house.
This morning around 6:40–7:00 AM, a girl he’s involved with started blowing up my phone because he had her car and forgot to pick her up from work. I didn’t even know who she was at first because I thought he had been dealing with someone else. She ended up coming over to my house and yelling at him, and they argued outside. He brushed it off like it was nothing.
Then later the same night, around 10 PM, another woman showed up. This is someone I had already told him is NOT allowed at my house because she previously caused a scene (throwing things at my door and sitting outside honking for a long time).
This time it escalated even worse. She tried to run him over with her car, tore up my backyard, threw my grill and supplies around, and poured bleach on my carpet. She also went after my neighbor’s car and damaged it. I had to threaten to call the police before she finally left, and even then she tried to speed off.
My roommate ended up breaking her car window as she was leaving, and now my neighbor is talking about pressing charges because of the damage to their vehicle.
The guy staying with me ran off before the police even got there and hasn’t taken any responsibility for any of this. I’ve told him he needs to pay for the damages, but he’s acting like none of this is his problem.
At this point I feel like my home isn’t even safe or peaceful anymore because of the constant drama he brings with different women.
WIBTA if I kicked him out over this? I’m also seriously considering taking legal action because of the damage done to my property.
