I just watched the 1955 movie and I was crying. I mean, I know the story but the ending was just heart wrenching, its innocence makes the spiritual themes hit harder. Marcelino’s kindness and faith feel pure, almost fragile, and the ending lingers with a bittersweet warmth that’s both comforting and deeply moving.
