So I had to run from my child's father due to emotional abuse and event that I genuinely thought would become physical (with strangers offering me their number to act as witnesses)
I used those and some prior events to get a restraining order and ran with my son (1). He wasn't on the birth certificate so legally was in the right. I went 5 hours away because thats where my community was.
He petitioned the courts to establish paternity (still no idea how he did that), filed for emergency custody, and I was never served for that case so it was automatically granted.
Now the actual custody case is coming up and I feel like im scrambling. The legal aid for that jurisdiction says they dont do custody cases, I cant get the money for a retainer fee.
I feel like I could be somewhat okay with 50/50 if I could make him put a breathalyzer in his car and make sure men I've never met weren't around my child (based off the calls I've gotten with him, there was).
I just literally dont know what to do
