Hello! I'm back, and with a final update this time.
I deleted my last posts because of some legal developments that happened. But, I'm posting now (although heavily vague because of the legal arrangement) of what's happened, and will stop posting on the matter after this.
Thank you again to those Redditors from the last posts. I couldn't have done it without your encouragement.
Now, on to the post.
TLDR from the previous posts:
Ex company (mostly Derek and April) did some things, and HR told me to take my complaints to a higher level of authority. I did, and HR told me to stop because it would cost her her job. Still pushed through, got a settlement, and won.
The Update:
Derek and April hated me for what I did, which I didn't really care.
Before officially leaving the company, however, I did say goodbye to the rest of the team. They told me they'd miss me, and wished me good luck --- which I appreciated.
I even said goodbye to HR, but mostly out of courtesy. HR then hugged me, apologizing for not being able to do anything. They said it was mostly because they couldn't afford to lose a job that paid well.
I said I understood and was about to forgive them until they told me that, when I get into a new job, I should "get them into the company too" because they "felt like they will be the next one to be removed from the company".
At that point, I was pissed. Still, I nodded. But, deep down, I've made up my mind that I will absolutely NOT be doing that.
Now, I'm happier than ever -- indulging in my hobbies and picking up old passions while looking for a job. It was a journey, but at least it all went well.
So thank you again, Redditors! Until next time.
EDIT: Seeing a lot of people saying I should have linked the previous posts / should not have deleted them. Sorry! Still new to Reddit so I'm not familiar to the culture / how to navigate it yet.
But here is an article link shared by u/azure275 (thank you btw!!!) on what happened before. It pretty much sums up what happened:
