I’ve just reached S-, but my rank has been A+ for quite some time now. I’m fairly new to tetrio since I switched from another game not too long ago.
In several ranked matches, I’ve encountered players who don’t play for at least 10 seconds but the moment I start dumping, they begin playing too and send the trash right back. For context, I usually just build cleanly and clear using the I-piece. Other times, when I feel like it, I go for 3-line T-spin clears, which send 6 lines of trash.
I understand players who don’t immediately start playing, since I sometimes do that too like for example when I scroll on TikTok for a bit after a round. But that’s not what I’m talking about. I mean players who consistently wait for me to dump first. I’ve confirmed this in a few cases by watching their replays. I report them and the moment I open tetrio the next day I would get a message from the admin thanking me for reporting.
How do I counter this? Are there any techniques I should know?

im a college student (in green school @/taft if this helps) and ive been practicing DJing in my bedroom for a while now. ive also played a few small hangouts with friends, but nothing beyond that yet. aside from DJing, i also produce music and do covers from time to time
just wanted to ask are there any DJs here who started with no connections at all? like no industry contacts, no gigs handed to you, etc
