How much would you charge/be willing to pay, for a book cover like this?
I did these artworks for book covers some time ago, they’re technically one artwork each but separated with the character (for the front cover) and without (for the back cover).
The first two images are the first book cover and the second two images the designs for the second book, the author is a family friend and I did these first cover for free, the second cover I didn’t actually get paid for (long story) we agreed on $150 but they reformatted the first book and the artwork no longer fit and they didn’t keep an unedited version of the artwork I sent through to them (and the iPad both artworks were stored on died). They decided to go in a different direction, which is fine.
I really enjoyed the process of created the pieces and was just curious how much it would pay and if it would be worth it and I guess if people would be interested in this type of digital piece for their books. I’m also considering looking into doing prints as well or bookmarks etc.
I do have a part time job so this would not be a full time thing, just curiosity really, because it was always a dream of mine. I’ve not had an official art degree or anything like that, self taught so I don’t know if that affects the price people are willing to pay either.
