I know this question is probably asked a lot on subs like this, but I have been struggling to make the claws for a wolverine cosplay. The con doesn't allow wood or metal (of course), and I dont have access to a 3d printer (and I would rather not use one at all). I know that makes my options quite slim, with my budget and time constraints not helping, but I wondered if there are any durable materials or ways to make things like clay, card, or foam less likely to bend or snap at a con. I tried using a thick (1-2mm) paper board, and it snapped pretty quick. I have access to resin but I'm unsure whether that would be within the con rules (nothing too hard or sharp). I have a month to complete this and any help or advice would be really appreciated.
So far I have tried using paper and glue to layer over popsicle sticks, which ended up too big. I am considering making a mould with clay and then using resin to make them, or using paper mache with flour to make a hard mixture I can then sculpt.
