If I have money in a non registered account that I want to transfer to wealth simple. Would it not be better to just deposit it as cash into my 2.25% interest chequing account rather than transfer the account over for a 1% match?

Had a crazy good year this year. I know most likely I can’t keep up this type of gain moving forward but I’m starting to believe that 1 million can be achieved within my TFSA. I have investments outside of my TFSA as well which I will slowly start to bring in over time.
