All of my Meta accounts were silently reinstated yesterday around 8PM PST. I didn’t receive any email or update — the only reason I noticed was because I suddenly got a Facebook notification from an account that had been completely disabled and logged out.
For context, all my Instagram accounts (personal + business) were taken down because my FB account was flagged for “not following community guidelines as detected by their AI.”
When I clicked the notification:
I was prompted to reset my Facebook password
After resetting, I checked Instagram
All accounts were fully restored after logging in
No warnings, no explanation, no email — just back.
What I did (not sure what worked):
Sent a demand letter to their Legal Department
Filed a small claims case against Meta Platforms
Subscribed to Meta Verified (free trial) using a new FB + IG account
Submitted ~15 support tickets during that period
Again — no idea which (if any) triggered the reinstatement.
Timeline:
March 26 – Accounts disabled
March 28 – Started Meta Verified + submitted multiple tickets
April 1 – Sent demand letter (no response)
April 14 – Filed small claims
April 17 – CSC (registered agent) received my case, didn’t hear from them or Meta’s legal team
April 29 – Accounts restored (no email or notice)
Takeaway:
If your accounts were wrongfully disabled, there is a path — but it’s frustrating and unclear. In my case, everything was silent until it suddenly wasn’t.
Hope this helps someone.
