As the title suggests, how does getting on orders before completing field training look?

Any LE guys who have done this or know someone who did it can give their 2 cents.

Under USERRA, job should still be secured but how does a typical agency react to this? Co-workers, etc.

It is expected for this to delay promotional opportunities in the future due to being seen as potentially unreliable or unfocused on LE career. Not too worried about that, more so asking about the culture.

I know some may also say that even though USERRA protect, the dept/agency will look for other way to fire you without making it military related. Is this true?
