I’m 2 weeks post op open myomectomy and my swelling is still pretty significant. It’s like a bulge in between my belly button and incision site. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this and if it goes away 😭

Hi everyone. I am post-op 1 week open myomectomy. Recovery has been okay so far. I stayed in the hospital for 2 days - my hemoglobin dropped so they wanted to make sure it stayed stable. My surgeon said that a hysterectomy would have been easier - my fibroid was complex (I only had 1 - 10cm) and reaching down into my cervix so she had to cut deep. So I have to wait a year to try and conceive which I am thankful for since she was able to preserve my uterus. As fas as recovery, it’s been gentle. I was able to get up and walk that night and have been walking and doing some very light chores. Today without thinking I picked up my dog and immediately regretted it. I felt some pain in my lower abdomen and now it just feels sore like I did the day of surgery. Ill be taking it easy from now on. My incision is covered with silverlon dressing but I am able to take it off tomorrow. I’m nervous to see incision. How has recovery been for everyone?
