So. I know nothing of PC power supplies except a lot of people have a lot of opinions! I find I am on a journey discovering slowly some stuff about server psu's but as they say a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Mostly I see that server psu seems to be fairly high spec but very low price e-waste. Suits me perfectly.

However, I have questions - can anyone share experience please?

First off:

HP flex slot or HP common slot? Does it make a difference?

Second question:

I think I would prefer to use a breakout board rather than soldering directly - any recommendations for tried and tested breakout boards?
