I've been training for about 2.5 years and have had 4 smoker fights. I'm used to sparring and the pressure of a crowd, but a record fight is different. My coach told me about a last minute record amateur fight in 9 days, but that I'm ready. I can tell other experienced guys at the gym have been silently waiting for me to take up my first fight. I'm just nervous because it's last minute and I have no idea what the weight is gonna be like. I tend to delay things in life out of fear, but I also know I'm competent and one of the most consistent and regular fighters at the gym. I just don't want to lose and be embarassed. I also know this is my chance and I won't get another one for a while.
Thoughts?
