Rough idling and very difficult dry steering

2005 bmw 325i with the following issues:
- moderate shaking for 60 seconds after cold start
- revs dip before raising when throttle is pressed
- rough, "hunting" idle once engine is hot
- dry steering is extremely hard and causes revs to drop significantly (voltage also drops)
- when braking, steering will pull one way as revs drop. Feels similar to erratic and tough dry steering
- soft hissing sound from underbody, could i have an exhaust leak?
No OBD error codes, but as you can see it is failing multiple tests.
Things i done so far:
- new alternator (100% fixed charging failure, had no impact on above symptoms which were always present)
- cleaned ground connections
- charged and tested battery
- cleaned icv
- cleaned disa valve
- cleaned maf sensor
- cleaned throttle valve
- power steering fluid looks fresh and more than full
My guess is that the steering pump could be on its way out, and i have a small suspicion about the crankshaft position sensor.
Any other ideas of causes would be much appreciated!
