June Is Going to Be Absolute Chaos for Theater Staff — ADC, MOTU, Scary Movie 6, Supergirl, Disclosure Day & Toy Story 5 All at Once

Fellow theater employees, prepare yourselves. June is shaping up to be one of those “survive and advance” months.
We’re potentially staring down the combined chaos of:

• The Amazing Digital Circus fans

• Masters of the Universe nostalgia crowds

• Scary Movie 6 meme audiences

•Supergirl superhero opening-weekend insanity

•Disclosure Day curiosity crowds

• and families stampeding into Toy Story 5

This has all the ingredients for:

•sold out auditoriums

•nonstop popcorn lines

•mobile order disasters

•people sitting in the wrong seats

•teenagers roaming hallways

•parents letting kids destroy theaters

•“the AC is too cold”

•“the movie started already??”

•and customers somehow blaming us for every trailer before the movie

Concessions workers: stay strong.

Ushers: may your cleanup shifts be merciful.

Box office staff: prepare for “WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT’S SOLD OUT?” conversations every 15 minutes.

And to everyone working opening weekends: hydrate, wear comfortable shoes, and remember we’re all suffering together.
Good luck out there, soldiers. 🍿

Fellow theater employees, just a warning now so nobody gets blindsided later: June is looking absolutely packed and potentially miserable depending on your location and staffing levels.
We’ve got a lineup of movies that are probably going to bring in huge crowds, difficult customers, trashed auditoriums, nonstop late shows, and endless concession lines:

• The Amazing Digital Circus

• Masters of the Universe

• Scary Movie 6

• Supergirl

• Disclosure Day

• Toy Story 5

A few predictions already:

Toy Story 5 = destroyed theaters, popcorn everywhere, screaming kids, exhausted parents.

The Amazing Digital Circus = massive teen/preteen crowds, TikTok energy, loud audiences.

Scary Movie 6 = late-night chaos and people treating the auditorium like a comedy club.

Supergirl and Masters of the Universe = packed opening weekends and nonstop merch/cup questions.

Depending on how Disclosure Day performs, that could either become a surprise sleeper hit or a scheduling nightmare.

If your theater is understaffed already, brace yourselves. Start mentally preparing for double rushes, sold-out weekends, and customers acting shocked that the opening night of a major release is crowded.

Good luck to everyone working box office, usher, concessions, and projection. Stay hydrated and may your theaters survive the summer.

Just a heads up to everyone working theaters this summer — June is looking like it’s going to be one of those months.

Between the hype for The Amazing Digital Circus, the nostalgia crowd showing up hard for Masters of the Universe, and the inevitable madness that Scary Movie 6 is probably going to unleash, I already know weekends are going to be brutal.

• Prepare yourselves now:

• Packed lobbies

• Sold out late shows

• Parents ignoring ratings

• Teens theater hopping

• Endless popcorn refills

• “Can I get one more large Icee?”

•People recording TikToks during screenings

•And at least one broken soda machine at the worst possible time

I’m calling it now: ushers and concession workers are going to be fighting for their lives by mid-June.
Stay hydrated, wear good shoes, and may your closing shifts end before 2 AM.

Hey everyone — checking in to see how things are going with the Michael Jackson movie 🎤🎬

How’s turnout been at your theaters so far? Is it pulling big crowds, or more of a steady flow? Curious what demographics you’re seeing too — lots of longtime fans, younger audiences, or a mix?

How are showtimes holding up? Any particularly busy days or surprise slow periods? And of course… how are the theaters looking after showings? 😅

Would love to hear how your location is handling it overall — staffing, concessions, guest reactions, anything notable. Feel free to share your experiences or vent if it’s been a lot.

Hope everyone’s hanging in there and getting some breaks in between!
