Hi all! We’re traveling to NYC in May with our 7-month-old twins and I’m trying to figure out the best double travel stroller for getting around the city (sidewalks, subways, tight doorways, etc.).
We currently use Nuna car seats, so I’ve been looking closely at the Nuna TRVL Dubl since it seems super convenient to click a car seat in without adapters for airport travel. That feels like a big win for us logistically.
That said, I’m wondering:
- Is the Nuna TRVL Dubl actually a good choice for NYC specifically?
- How does it handle things like narrow doors, elevators, and crowded sidewalks/subways?
From what I’ve read, it sounds promising—it’s relatively lightweight and people say it can handle standard doorways and elevators well —but I’d love real NYC parent feedback.
Our priorities:
- Lightweight (we’ll be traveling + possibly carrying it at times)
- One-handed fold (airport + subway situations)
- Fits through doors reasonably well (I know nothing is perfect in NYC 😅)
Other options we’re considering:
- Uppababy Minu Duo
- Bombi Twin
Would love to hear:
- What you actually use with 2 under 1 (or close in age)
- What works in real NYC conditions (stairs, small restaurants, taxis, etc.)
- Any “don’t make my mistake” advice
Thanks so much!!
