Some background okay, I’ve been attending this class and at this point I genuinely feel like it doesn’t help me grow at all, the teacher is really kind but I feel like that’s the issue she never criticises us and I personally need that, I want to know what I’m doing wrong. In 2 weeks we have a recital and after that I’ll have to sign up again until the end of june.
And I was thinking about switching to a different teachers class for those like 5 lessons until the end of june but the only other day it works for me only the intermediate class is an option. I think I’m one of the better people in my current group (still definitely not a great dancer) and I feel like my current teachers class provides no challenge to me and it’s honestly demotivating and also one of my friends who is a bit less experienced than me told me she will be going to the intermediate class.
Finally my question, I was wondering if anyone has any advice, should I risk going to the intermediate class even though I’m not sure if I’m good enough for it yet or should I just not overestimate myself and just stay in my current class? I’ve been thinking about this for quite a while and it’s genuinely driving me crazy so I think asking more experienced dancers might be helpful.
