Game Title: Hexodot

Playable Link: https://hexodot.com/

Tutorial gameplay preview — I’m mainly looking for feedback on rule clarity.

Platform: Web Game / Browser, mobile-friendly, installable as PWA

Description: I made a browser-based hexagonal logic puzzle called Hexodot, and it’s currently in beta.

The core rule is simple: arrange the hex tiles so each tile has exactly as many neighbors as the dots on it. A tile with 3 dots needs 3 neighboring tiles, a tile with 1 dot needs 1 neighbor, and so on.

The tricky part is that every tile also counts as a neighbor for other tiles, so one move can solve one part of the board while breaking another.

The game has a short Tutorial mode with 8 levels, then the main mode is Journey, where puzzles keep progressing and gradually become larger and more difficult. Later Journey levels are procedurally generated while following a difficulty curve.

There is also a Daily Challenge with the same puzzle for everyone, and a Random mode with shared boards. Hints are available if you get stuck outside the competitive daily puzzle.

I’m honestly trying to figure out whether the game has potential or not, so I’d really appreciate feedback on:

  • does the core mechanic feel interesting enough to keep playing?
  • are the rules clear after the tutorial?
  • does Journey become too difficult too quickly or too slow/too confusing??
  • is there anything that makes you want to quit immediately?

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: Solo developer. I designed and built the game and puzzle system myself.
