Why was the Communist party politically marginal during India’s partition?
Bhagat Singh and a lot of other socialist revolutionaries had a big role in the independence movement and are still really respected for it. So how come the CPI couldn’t end up having anywhere near that level of influence around partition or push things in a more socialist direction and just staying pretty marginal overall?
