NetSuite SuiteTax not recognizing Louisiana Opportunity District rates (Westlake, etc.) – Anyone else dealing with this?

We're in the middle of migrating to SuiteTax and running into an issue with special tax districts in Louisiana. (Happy to report this is all isolated to Sandbox for now...)

Specifically, addresses in the Westlake Opportunity District (Calcasieu Parish) should be taxed at 12.75% (5% state + 7.75% local), but SuiteTax is only applying 10.75% (5% state + 5.75% standard Calcasieu Parish). It’s not picking up the additional 2% Opportunity District tax.

Has anyone successfully gotten SuiteTax to correctly recognize Louisiana Opportunity District rates (or similar special economic development districts)?

We’ve tried:

  • Using very specific addresses (1300 PPG Drive, Westlake, LA 70669-2862)
  • Making sure the LA nexus and all provisioning is complete
  • Tried checking for tax codes but quickly gave up

Bonus Question:
What other tricky / special tax jurisdictions in the US have you run into with SuiteTax? (e.g. special districts in other states, Colorado special districts, Texas Type A/B, etc.) Any that required custom Tax Codes, Item Taxability rules, or overrides?

Any advice or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
