I read some of his works years ago (Nihilism and The Religion of the Future) and generally know his story from a pious perspective only. The recent decision to initiate the process of his canonization has been met with contention, with some Orthodox people even expressing their hesitation. I’ve heard bits and pieces, but could still use a comprehensive breakdown of the allegations, preferably weighing the evidence on both sides.
