I’m a 28M working in IT with around a 15 LPA package. My job is pretty stable, and I mostly work from home, so that part’s sorted.
My family has been looking for matches within our community for about a year now, mostly through offline connections. But honestly, the kind of matches I’ve been getting is a bit confusing.
One thing I’m particular about is that I’d prefer someone younger than me, ideally with a 2–3 year gap. But so far, the matches I’ve received haven’t really aligned with that. One girl was actually 2 years older than me. And then the more surprising ones two girls around 22–23 years old, but one had studied only till 8th class, and the other till 10th.
I’m from North Eastern Rajasthan, general category which isn’t that backward either. Like in my day today live I don't see many girls that don't study past 12th. I won't even be able to name one. So it’s not like there’s a lack of educated people in the community.
Just wanted to ask has anyone else faced something similar while looking for matches offline? Were you able to find someone close to your preferences eventually? And if not, how are you dealing with it?
