Hello. My introduction might come off a bit hazy. I am a shorter than average Black man (5'2 to be exact) cursed with a baby face. Lately, I have been getting better at communicating with people, being honest, and leaving my anti-social/introverted bubble. However, I still feel like there is a lot I want to accomplish despite part of me feeling like it's pointless.
Growing up in Germany as a baby before moving back to the states, my love for video games started with Super Mario Bros. for the NES. Eventually, my love for gaming increased through the 2000s thanks to the PS2 and GameCube which, to this day, are my definitive favorites video game consoles of all time. Along with those, there was wrestling with WWE (and AEW present), comics/manga, and cartoons/anime. But I think what really influenced me is learning niche Japanese games and anime when I was still in middle school. I just really like finding obscure things in fiction that not a lot of people know about because they can be weird, unusual, or something incredibly different that I can't imagine being told in any other format. That charm exists in the indie scene as well so I like looking into indie comics and games as well. Besides all of that, I also workout and cardio from time to time to make sure my body remains in consistent shape for cosplaying and listen to a lot of metal/punk/rock.
Right now, I am jobless and have been since last month after quitting for financial and mental health reasons. However, I have never been more focused on learning gamedev, character design and drawing, writing, and meeting people in gaming parlors. My career goal is to form a multimedia production for video games, comics, and animations so I have also been learning entrepreneurship on the way.
I think trying to find a "special" someone is as difficult as getting hired but I have always been told this kind of thing goes organically. That said, if I could find one woman who likes reading and listening to me yap about silly stuff, I think that might be enough to make me happy. I'm not picky on ethnicity or race but, fair warning, I'm not into politics. Bonus points if you also like the stuff mentioned and the color black (I can sometimes be moody).
