I love my job. I am baker. I have been at it 7 months after a decade of being unable to work. I planned on staying here for yeeeeaaaars.

I love my location. I love my hours now. I love working alone and communication is mostly via text.

So why am I leaving? Mold. Mold and bullshit. My boss pretends to be a middle class/lower middle class person. Someone who can't afford proper timely repairs and upkeep on her second location so relies on her employees to pick up the slack. But turns out she is wealthy. Like owns her own beach house on the coast. She takes on projectsa twenty person team would do at any other place and makes one person do it while she gets overwhelmed and overworks herself as well.

We have had chronic leaking issues with our pipes almost as long as I have been here. Instead of properly fixing anything she has my Co workers try to repair and install things. They are all very young and friends of the family and very taken advantage of.

Our crawl space has inches of mold growing on every square inch. It is directly under our bathroom with a vent that hasn't been cleaned since the building went up 15 years ago. One sink is out of order. The other buckling and caving because mold is eating away at the plywood. We have a wasp problem.

I have asthma. It's gotten so bad I am back on a daily med. Every time I come to work now especially on a humid day/rainy day I know I will have asthma attacks and hurt. I got pneumonia last month. But that was thought due to aspiration but haven't had it since I was a baby and I have had vomiting issues most my life.

My boss said she would fix it right away months ago but when she came in she said she couldn't smell the mold and neither could my Co workers so it's fine. They insuiated I was just sensitive or smelling things that weren't there. YOU CAN SEE THE MOLD AND MILDEW.

I had my last straw today. An asthma attack so bad I couldn't get even get my rescue inhaler down cause I was coughing wheezing choking. If I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg I would go get a Nebulizer treatment after work.

Edit: I am reluctant because my husband doesn't think it is that big of a deal. That I should try better allergy meds so my asthma isn't triggered. I am allergic to mold and mildew. He says mold isn't dangerous unless it's a certain kind.
