Had a dirt bike all the way up to my early 20's, then got a Harley and road them till my second kid 7 years ago. I think about riding almost as much as sex, so I want something. I'll be doing short one to two day trips maybe, ride it to work, logging roads, jeep trails, mild real tight single track, and tons of gravel roads. Mainly just using it for therapy, get out and clear my head. I live in East Tennessee and you can run 100 miles and not get on blacktop. I'm interested in the kove 800, tenere 700, Kove 450, or just a plain old drz400 but I'll put a rally tower on it. I want something reliable too. I like the idea of a klr but I'm afraid I wouldn't be happy with the power, or lack there of.

I'm wanting a backpack truck gun and was dead set on 300 bo rattler, then I came across a video of a rattler in 7.62x39. I know that 300bo is quieter, softer shooting and an inch shorter but is it more accurate, have more knockdown power, more reliable running with a suppressor, and have cheaper ammo than the 7.62x39 version? I've never owned either caliber but cheaper ammo, more knockdown power, and having the same accuracy as 300bo, does it not seem that the 7.62x39 rattler is the better choice?

Is there a pistol/sbr that is reliable and accurate as a rattler in 300 blackout with a barrel that is less than 8" in 7.62x39 that can easily go between subs and supers while always running a suppressor? I've only seen one good review on the rattler chambered in 7.62x39, the rest of the reviews I have seen have reported magazine issues, that and them shooting really hard.
