Hei!

My partner and I will be travelling to Norway, specifically landing in Bergen on May 10th afternoon, and we are going to fly to the Lofoten Islands on May 12th and spend 3 days there in Å Rorbuer before coming back to Bergen on May 16th and hopefully getting to enjoy the May 17th festivities in Bergen before flying back home on May 18th. For the itinerary I was thinking of the following:

May 10th - arriving in the afternoon and if there is energy, maybe stroll around Bryggen. We will be renting a car

May 11th - drive to Voss, Gundvangen and Flam and drive back the same day. Given our limited time dont think we can fit in a cruise or do Norway in a Nutshell. Plus we get to have our own timeline

May 12th - drive to Bergen airport and fly to Leknes, rent a car and drive to A rorbruer

May 13th - hoping to rent a kayak or if there are fishing tours in A go on a fishing tour. Maybe go on a hike to Kvalvika beach.

May 14th - fishing tour in Svolvaer via Go2Lofoten in the morning. After that thinking of hiking Torsketunga trail

May 15th - try to do the Reinebringen hike and possibly a sauna in Svolvaer

May 16th - drive to Svolvaer to fly back to Bergen

May 17th - enjoy the festivities of May 17th and possibly do Mt Floyen cable car

May 18th - fly back

Our priorities are to enjoy the scenery of both the Lofoten islands and Bergen given our restricted timeline due to our work schedules. We like hiking and the water but given the time of year we are going we understand the weather maybe unpredictable in the Lofoten. Are there any other suggestions of what to check out?

Also my partner is Gluten Free and Dairy Free, any suggestions for restaurants in Bergen, Flam or the Lofoten islands?

Much appreciated for the suggestions

I realize its annoying to ask this but maybe those that have read books and are anticipating the movie adaptation can suggest a good read. I have been working through Dune after having seen the movie and I just read Project Hail Mary and thoroughly enjoyed both the book and the movie. In the past Ive read some of Michael Crichton's work including Jurassic Park and The Lost World and loved them as well. About to start Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C Clarke as I heard Denis Villenueve might direct the movie adaptation.

What do people suggest for books in the sci-fi or mystery/thriller genre that they are anticipating the movie adaptation for?
