What to say when toddler doesnt want to be friends with their friend anymore
Our LO is 3.5 years old and made a connection to another kiddo the same age in daycare.
We've become close to the parents and set up play dates often.
However recently, our LO doesnt want to play with this friend anymore and goes on to say she doesnt want to be friends with them. But then says she still wants to go to her birthday party lol.
When we ask if they did anything to hurt or upset our LO the answer is no and she just doesnt want to be their friend and that they are not friends.
We're stumped on how to respond. We dont want to force friendship but also want to teach to be polite?
So far we've just said she really likes you and would love to be your friend but the response we get is well shes not my friend... 🙃
