Gray screen driver crash on 5090 laptop
I am playing Team Fortress 2 and everything goes smoothly, I have 250-400 FPS on max settings. Temperature is 60-70 degrees. But randomly system goes to gray screen for 10 seconds, then it becomes black and system restores. The game it self not crashing and you keep playing after this grey-black screen.
It looks like driver crashing, there is a error in windows system event log:
The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\00000106
Reset TDR occurred on GPUID:200
I have asus rog scar 18 2025 laptop with 5090 mobile. Windows 11 (25H2, build 26200.6584) and drivers and bios are always up to date.
Display is using direct connection to nvidia gpu, this happens on all power profiles.
How to fix it?
