which soundbar Hi everyone!

I’m looking for some advice on the best soundbar setup for my apartment. The living area is about 24.2 m² (approx. 260 sq ft), but it has a tricky layout: it's an open floor plan that leads into the kitchen, and I have a hard PVC floor and a large glass balcony door right next to the TV.

I currently have the Sonos Arc Ultra (mounted on an oak slat wall), but I’m doubting if I should keep it or swap it for a Beam Gen 2 to save some budget for the rest of the set.

My "end goal" is a full 5.1 / Atmos setup:

  • Sub: Either the Sub Mini or the new Sub 4.
  • Surrounds: Two Era 100s, which I plan to mount on a ceiling rail (1-phase track) because there’s no wall behind my couch.

My questions:

  1. Given the size (24m²) and the open space, is the Arc Ultra overkill, or will the new Sound Motion tech actually help with the lack of side walls?
  2. Should I go for the Sub 4 or is the Sub Mini enough for a PVC floor in an apartment? (I sit quite close to the TV).
  3. Has anyone tried the Era 100s mounted upside down on a ceiling rail?

I’m mostly using it for movies/Netflix and want that "theatre feel" without the sound getting lost in the open kitchen area.

Thanks for your help!with a subwoofer and surround speakers would you prefer in my apartment?
