Turning 33 this year and lost in life. Would joining be beneficial?

I’m new to Reddit so sorry if it’s been asked a hundred times. I’m turning 33 this year, pretty much lost in life. I’m in shape and not dumb but not smart either.

I’m a huge stoner trying to quit. I know what the army can provide but is it generally hard at my age to get in this late? If anyone here has joined at a later age. Do you regret it? Are you still active duty? What was your biggest hurdles during the whole process?

I really wanna change my life for the better but honestly scared to commit and start the process.
