Hi. I've been using a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50x for 7 years to produce bass music. I would use alongside a pair of monitor speakers. I have recently moved into a flat where I can not produce using the monitors anymore so I will need a pair of headphones to produce. My problem with the ATH M50's are that I get fatigued after 60-90 mins. The flat is quiet and I think a pair of open backed headphones would be the right move.

I have seen the Audio Technica ATH r50x and I am considering buying these as they are open back and I was happy with my old pair other than fatigue. I have been running the headphones straight out of my laptop aux port, no interface. Will the ATH r50x be a good purchase for me? and how necessary would it be to purchase an audio interface to run them from?

Thank you all!

Budget: £400-£800 all in. Very wide range, would prefer lower price but happy to stretch if it will really make a difference.

Country: United Kingdom

Condition: Used well looked after & not too high shutter count

Type of Camera: mirrorless or point and shoot

Intended use: Photography

If photography; what style: (landscape, street, wildlife) mainly holidays in nature but will be some street city break photography too

Portability: Pocketable - maybe slightly bigger - just not a chore to carry around

Cameras you're considering: Sony A6000 cheapest option / Canon V1 seen good reviews / LUMIX S9 if it's worth the extra money / Fujifilm colours look great but probably out of budget

Cameras you already have: iPhone 13. Want a separate camera so I give photos on holidays attention. Holidays are always outdoorsy - Austrian lakes / French alps / morrocan desert / English Lake District

Notes: I'm a total newbie to camera technology, tried watching YouTube for reviews but everyone seems to say different cameras are the best, I assume because they vary so much.

I ultimately want a camera where I can use mainly the autofocus, I'm happy to build my own presets in lightroom and edit photos lightly. Not wanting to spend hours editing though.

From reviews, I really like the colours of the FujiFilm cameras. I have seen the a6000 seems to be a very accurate camera for shooting raw photos which I think I could edit to have the more fujifilm type colours? The S9 looks like it may be a good option as it can apply the LUTs and I could create or find custom ones similar to fujifilm colours? I have seen plenty of good reviews for the Canon v1 as well.

To be honest, Im pretty far in the deep end researching these so I would really value some guidance. Thank you
